In a traditional and poised society a lack of compassion can be as vulgar as an excess of tears
Compassionate people do not just happen, they’re raised. Indifference and abhorrence is born out of one’s own inferiorities and inadequacies. But then even monsters are welcome in a world with no hope. And the righteous are stared upon with skepticism. The good, the bad, the ugly, no more are the categories of human behavior. The opportunist, the capitalist and politics are the key players in the game of thrones of power, fame and fortune.
There are ample souls in the current political and media outfit who have opened shops of propagating ill fated shows with the intention to sensationalize news and current affairs in order to run their own kitchen, working for organized establishments and power hungry individuals, serving distasteful plots and fictionalized facts to distract divide and control the viewing public.
Is there a clear difference between free speech and hate speech, between agenda and propaganda in the world of dramatized and capitalist media business? Media for all intensive purposes should be a medium of transmission for all proposed aspects of any agenda or is it a funnel through which a biased view of a larger canvas of schemes is presented.
As the tenacious few of this world have repeatedly pointed out that everything and everyone is for sale for the right price and by the right buyer as long as the transaction falls in the ever so wide matrix of business associations. Morality is a lost art, as you can justify pretty much anything if enough people agree with it. The blurred line between right and what one can get away with depends on the number of zeros you can add for the one. Your character can be seen as questionable if opportunity controls your loyalty.
Generations have been conditioned into reacting in a detestable manner to specific sects and countries and their countrymen. The unfortunate mindset of intolerance and aggressiveness reigns the youth of today.
If those in charge of our society; politicians, corporate executives, and owners of press and television, can dominate our ideas they will be secure in their power. They will not need soldiers patrolling the streets. We will control ourselves”- Howard Zinn
To question is not to oppose. To seek answers does not mean one does not believe. Transparency leads to accountability. Those in positions to serve the people should be answerable to each and every action and decision and activity which affects the public at large. Motives shall be questioned. Opinions shall be challenged, a dialogue is fundamental to a democratic model of governance.
The privileged spawns of most culprits are the ones preaching the righteous lessons. Pointing and speaking aloud about the wrongs invented and practiced by their own forefathers. The society has a clear divide of class and ancestral backgrounds. Apartheid by biasness and partial to their causes, the select fortunate with no real understandings of the common man become their champions vowing to bring order to the chaos created in the first place by them, the self imposed significant of the society.
Karma is not a punishing force. It is a balancing principle. It gives you the opportunity to correct the places you are out of alignment. The nature of life is not permanence but flux. There has been testing of the system since the dawn of rule and governance.
I feel a shaking of the ground I stand on. Sometimes hope acts like a tease designed to prevent us accepting reality. But in reality hope gives us motivation to persevere, to persist even though it may seem in vain. Sometimes it’s hard to see who people really are as they hide their true qualities under a thick blanket of convention. The monotony of being a conformist is not the way of the hopeful and the talented and ambitious.
